and have not observed a single Actola
maculata or Acta Bartramius for four
or five days. Saw only two Glandularum
flying the day. At Amisim a fine adult
specimen of Barns agnatus passed through
the marsh. Early in the morning and
numerous flocks of Dd, viridifus passed
over high up toward the North, a sort
of carder migration that I have noticed
below this season in G. flavipes as well.
Aug 16. A.M. cloudy with light showers
from the S. West. Only a few small flocks of
G. flavipes were observed through the day.
species of Peeps flew in large flocks all
the forenoon. About 12 M. the wind shifted
to S. East, the sun came out and flocks of
G. flavipes flew all the afternoon as many
as thirty or forty birds passing through, but
as this calm misty in small flocks and
stayed unusually well, the greater part

specimen of Strp. intrepus that came
flying through the marsh with it, and
swiftness and to pair and two single bird
of Acta maculata. Saw two Columba torquatus.
Aug. 17. Morning clear and very warm
with light S. West wind. G. flavipes flew
in abundance all day upwards of fifty
birds observed. A Symphonia semi-fabula
was also killed during our ready to
