Aug. 8 Cloudy with E. wind &
blowing in forenoon. After
breakfast W.S. I myself went
down river in my boat &
I shot another bust D. coronata
rd D. maculosa in fine fall
plumage. A flock of Ag.
senipalmatus came over
the meadow but find no
resting place passed out
over the hills to the S.
Bot. riparia is still with us
as an Hb. horrons & Chaline
Jutazicis. At 3 P.M. the
rain holding off we
went out again taking the
Stony road. I took 7 birds
I. pallasi 2 [nest, in fledgled
pl.] Centopus grims 3 [2 nest!]
Mr. Canadensis 1 [y.g & pl.]
The young I. pallasi now
chicking as in fall.
