Nothing in the bird line of
special note except that
we were treated to a
glorious concert from the
hummit thrushes but the
owl. Got back by dark
rather wet, but well
satisfied with our trip.

Dr A.M. took a short
tour through the Lanius
bringing me 11 birds among
them B.D. castanea (must.) 1,
I. graculosa do. 1 do Yon.
albicollis, 1 Pagus Hudson adult
1 de. Campe trillii &c.
The chirping of the young
of the different varieties is
absolutely unlistening whole.
That of the young Py. Petreus
is very like but a trifle
different; A young Vireo
olivaens that I shot kept
up a war so exactly like
a herch note of the adult I.
graculosa that I was
decided until I saw it.
Saw a Probus aretius &
a young Coc. myrthus just
able to fly & around with
