136 Dec. 1873 my walk 42 mile without difficulty. Nov. we enlarged the Bird club, by the addition of four own members field officers &c. I gave the name of the "Nattall Cr. Club." Dec. 22 H.W.Hensoda dropped in on me quite unexpectedly he had arrived two days before, I remained in C. till Jan. when he left for Washington. Dec. 23 we (No. 29) went down to Greenwich together & passed a pleasant day with G.J.W. Dec. 25 we had a pigeon shoot (unclear conditions, tame birds &c.) at Watertown. Scott left C. about the 19th for a three or four weeks trip to N. Jersey. W.
