single specimen of a white-throated species has
been added. On the whole, birds are coming in
slowly, hence the weather. To-day, it did not rain all
the time, for some reason.
An old Samoan missionary, countryman of David's
& Charlie's informs, that in 1925 a collector of birds
and butterflies spent some time in the D'Entrecasteaux
group. He implied, he thought he was an American,
but he was not sure.
