"Sow Pen Hill" I failed to get a picture of a bunch of them on a fallen log or account of all the film being used. I went into the pass by the rocks on this side of the spur and returned to camp at 10:30. I started to make some dark & develop the film. The baking caused a bit of excitement when the shutter (notch) in which the boy had built his fire caught fire just got stored but it caused the developing & baking to cease suddenly we caused a busy hour. In the afternoon there was some mist but I went out hunting again going along the A.E. Trail as far as where it leaves the dead end of other (A.E. side) side of the Evelyn. After from there I continued straight on crossing its divide and descending until I could get a good run of the bottom land of the monomolog lake. I then return started back but instead of following its trail descends into the valley with the intention of climbing the Powell's Trail but found that the time was getting short so after visiting a forest in a hill in the middle of the valley on the way back to collecting the flowers from a tree I climbed straight up to the A.E. Trail where it leaves the divide at the Evelyn returning straight to camp. I noticed just as I was starting back a flight of swifts they were traveling north & in the direction of Q. E. & N. E. I did not see them until after they had flown on me but this must have been 12-15. June 29; 1933 I caught the usual four rats. V.V. and in one of his snares another strong to rat which I again with baker's bread occupied the whole afternoon. June 30; 1933 I caught only two rats but a young & in a red track in the paint. Both this & its last were moatling slightly. I made a apple pie which in spite of all turned out a success though a little burnt. Again I did not finish as I consumed a long time talking over Plowder future camp. The policeman left with its cendo form which I fell out yesterday.
