I spent the rest of the morning doing odd jobs
about camp, afterward I went down to the hiloboro
the road I walked by the Dacquin but they all look good,
the people and also I saw along very far another which just vanished into thin air. I shot a green parrot, a starling, and a honey eater as well as a down Centrifuge he was just groggy behind a fellow branch on a rock and he looked like a fat baby or goose so I shot him "one time" the weather today (4/30) has been fine though rather warm; after supper the weather was a little unsettled near the coast I went out shortly. I started out towards Orange, shot a giant Kingfisher out of a tree on the flat, I had seen him there practically every time I had gone in that direction (4:45) sitting on the same branch and facing the same direction that is toward the settler camp he is probably one of the giant kingfishers that has been screaming us every morning about 5:45 and in the evening 7:00 which is just before sunrise or sunset. Just after sunset shortly I saw a night heron fly off, it was quite a sight to see its white light go sailing along as it flew across the flat as I saw nothing further I came back and went towards Port Pirie just around the bend I saw what was probably a Petrel but when I moved closer to get a shot I lost sight of him almost to the start of the long hill, I shot over his way just flies across the road just a little way around the bend of the start of the hill I saw what I thought was the dull reddish gleam of an owl, it flew before I got within range but I followed him up the hill and succeeded in shooting him but he turned out to be from my mouth. I came back to camp over the top of the hill for another morning's more so I got back to camp at 9:00 a bit little earlier and shutty flat just comes on to rain.

I just went down to the hills and shot two green hares and a cockatoo shrike and also took a couple of pictures of the animals. I then returned to camp about 9:15
