November 10, 1928 Went in a steel chaflet of the cane to the Frondia's nest that I had seen yesterday. After waiting nearly for a little while a Frondia & skaleva entered one and I shot him when he came out but when I got the nest down it was not yet finished. There were four other nests all apparently belonging to the same species and were attached to some of the same or adjoining limbs and all were in good condition so you could not see through them with the exception of one other which was probably only half done, lacking its inner mothery although I waited some time more I did not see another bird go near a nest and I was leaving I shot a red Frondia out of a nearby tree. About four thirty the military band (Denagalis) gathered outside the residence and gave a recital for about an hour. They had about 4 or 5, possibly six, pieces that they played one and over in about the most mechanical was imaginable possible the only difference they mad from one time to the next was that one player would get off his tune on a different place.
