In the afternoon I went to a pond by the graphite mine and shot some doods, got two "fin to much". We called the carnivores "striped skunk" it possibly belongs in the genus "Galadite". July 10, 1929 max 70 min 56 Rain off and on most of day cought nothing In the afternoon I put out some traps. I picked up yesterday the trap to on the path that leads to the plains July 11, 1929 Max 67 min 57 Clear in the morning. After noon it clouded up and rained all of evening. I caught two new mammals, rodents, one belongs in the genus Elinus, & the other in Gym Gymnomys. Elinus called "Bushy-tailed Brown Woodrat" had two feet both in the left horn #170. Gymnumys # 171, called "Gray Woodrat" had Nelson 2 feets both in one man of the others but this time in the right. The gray wood rat had 3 pairs (6 is all of mammals) 2 pairs are abdominal and one pectoral. the abdominal ones names were about 10 to 15 mm apart, the pectoral just ventral to a line between the arms some- what like this
