On the way out, he had shot a Target and was looking at it. We (Tom & I) reported him to Dr. Patelka on our return at 2230. I stood in at 2330. 26 June 0800 After eating, I began work on the next set of soil samples taken from lines 3A and B area west and S. of camps. This work consumed the time to 1200. Dr. Patelka said he wanted to try and find a few Bairds and Semipalmated sandpipers in the lousel area this afternoon and I said I would like to help. I had to make a few minor repairs on the bow net traps before we left. The tugger shaft needed stronger attachment to the cross bar holding the net traps, so I put a second piece of wood beneath the one already there. 1330 Dr. Patelka and I left for the drum area to find Bairds and Semipals.
