Beaver 1967 Alaska Journal 13 20 June 0800 T. Custer and I left for trap line 5 and 5 two to check the flamingo traps and try and photograph shore birds. Took several photos of a Red Phalarpe o & ? . We went back to the Taeger (forenic) nest found yesterday by Mctean and I to take pictures of the bird as she dived upon us. We both got good photos of the bird diving on us. Then we went to line 5 and 6 in central marsh. Tom took several photos of 2 ducks and glanceous Bulks . We arrived back at the Lab at 1200. The weather this A.M. is clear but windy and cold. The wind is about 15-20mph from the S.E. 1300 I went to the lab in the R.M. to go through more vulture samples (see Dytidae study) andales to read some literature on Dytidae ecology and phenology. Drew up plans for 6 magazine visas also. 1800 Went with Tom to check the flamingo line. It was cold and windy. On the return we stopped at Tom's marked large sp nest to watch the actions of ? and ? that a presenty in the process of reamorging because you collected the priming ? at two nests.. 2300 Finally got back in and am turning in.
