ein, Karen 1988 Journal tastings Reservation, Monterey Co., California April 9(cont.) It was warm today - high 70's, if not the low 80's, clear with a west wind blowing. I caught [illegible] 14 animals on RC-West today and there were 29 traps set, to keep it at 50%. I set one more trap at W-12 to make it an even 30. I'll see how things go tomorrow. If I catch 15+ then I'll set out 10 more traps tomorrow evening. At RC-East I caught 6 animals this morning and there are 12 traps set up. I set up 10 more just to be sure we surpass the 50% mark. Extra Trap S set at: E-8(2), E-6(2), E-4(2), E-2(2), E-1.5(1), and E-2.5(1) so there's a total of 22 traps on RC-E drift fence now. April 10 00:40 It's much warmer this morning than it has been - high 50's. There are a few high clouds and it's calm. 10:40 I'm heading out to reset traps along the RC and MC drift fences. It was warm today - high 70's with some scattered high clouds and a warm wind. Since I trapped so few animals on RC-East this morning (4) and I had so many traps out (22), I moved three of them about [illegible] north end of the 50 feet outside the grid just to see what I catch. April 11 00:45 It's clear and in the high 50's-low 60's. There's a slight breeze blowing. No animals were captured in the three traps that I moved off the fence.
