It's clear & calm. 2100hrs - climb out on grid MC to check traps, then cll'll go meet up with Marco. Finished checking traps by 2220hrs and headed over to meet Marco on RC. On grid RC at 4,13, I captured # 1140, F, lactating. Her collar was in good shape and I redusted her with Purple Powder before releasing her. At station 5,12, caught # 1152 M with radio-collar. He had fresh ORANGE POWDER on his mouth, ears, and feet. Other results: St N 5/14. 1208 P.californicus F lum, nullip. 17g. No sign of any powder. Returned to lab. 5/15 1944 " " M scratal. 41g. No sign of any powder. Returned home at 2315h (300 spp acct for telemetry foul-ups). March 20 First day of spring! 0630 - out checking traps on MC. It's clear, calm, 50's We finished checking traps on MC and proceeded to check grid RC. Results on grid traps (P.californicus only): St 4/13 1140 P.californicus Lactating. Recaptured. Radio in good shape. 5/14 1944 " " Recaptured. Finished checking traps by 0840 and returned to lab to bleed 2 new animals.
