Today was cooler (mid 60s) due to a strong breeze from the west. From 1100 to 1145 hrs I reset traps on grid RC & RC drift fences. I picked up the 3 trap stations east of RC and added 3 stations to the transect west of RC at (approximately) stations 1,5; 2,5.5, and 1,5.5. I also set 2 stations west of the west drift fence, [illegible] 6, approx 5 and 10 m downstream, respectively. Lastly, I set the following stations on grid RC = 6,11; 6,10; 5,10; 5,11; and 5,9. Found a dead P.boylii (#0230) in a trap at 5,11 (see spp acct.) Reset traps on MC from 1700 to 1745 hrs. I added 2 stations at 11,5 and 11,6. Also, I set the large carnivore live-trap near station 7,12 - a coyote (probably Upson) has been turning and urinating on some traps in this region. 2145 hrs - out checking traps on MC. It's clear, calm, low 50s. Finished checking MC traps by 2200 hrs and headed to RC.
