REBUTT, CO. 1980 JOURNAL 125 Hastings Reservation, Monterey Co., Caliph Dec 13 (cont) From 1330 to 1515h I set all traps on GRID MC. Since I only have 100 folding Sherman's not being available for me, I set only 1 trap per station on row 5 & 6. Tomorrow I can add more traps. The grasses & forbs are coming up nicely on GRID MC, but if we don't receive some rain soon this growth will be history...- I set all RC traps from 1515-1630hrs. 2100h - out checking traps on RC. It's clear, calm, no moon, low 40s. The moon (1/4 full) set shortly before I came out. Finished by 2200h and proceeded to check traps on MC. Not many animals on MC. 2 traps on the top roww (10 & 11) had been rolled over (?). Finished checking traps by 2300h. Dec 14 0605h - out checking traps on MC. It's clear, calm, low 40s. 3 traps were turned over and a 4th, although not turned over, had a fresh urine puddle on it. Urceyon strikes again. Finished MC by 0800h and proceeded to check GRID RC. Picked up or cleaned out all grid traps as I checked traps. Finished RC by 1030h.
