From 1500-1600h I set out and baited traps on GRID RC (3 drift fences). I did not set traps at 5 stations (8,10 -> 8,14) since low on traps. Reset WB traps from 16-1700h, and MC drift fences around 1730. (Phew! This is a lot of traps, but since I'm having to spend lot of time in Berkeley on fingerpointing, I need to do some catch-up on trapping). Today was sunny and warm (upper 70's). 5200h - out checking traps on RC. It's DARK (no moon) and mid-80's Good results tonight Finished by 2220h and headed home Oct 13 0650h - out checking traps on MC. It's foggy and cool (low 40's). Starting checking traps on RC by 0740h, finishing by 1000h. Finished checking traps on WB by 1130h. Not many traps on WB that were shut with no animal this am. Returned to lab to collect tissues from 2 new WB mice and prepare Sorex mortality.
