At #50th I headed home with the Urocyon to release tomorrow Sept 21. 0645h - out checking traps on MC. It's clean and cool (45°). The Urocyon caught last night must be quiet because not many very few traps were closed with no animal. Not many captures, however. Stated checking traps on RC by 0830h and finished by 0430h. Summary of results on MC: P.californicus - 5 captures (including 1st) P.bonfii - 15 captures P.tuwi - 5 " Perognathus - 4" TOTAL - 29 captures (ones) I drove into Carmel Valley Village this am for a few groceries, and released the Urocyon on the Cachahual (?) Rd. Spent the rest of the afternoon skimming Spermophilus collected by Suzanne Schetter. I reset all MC traps from 1630 to 1730h. I reset the large live trap near station B,8, again. Reset RC drift fence traps about 1900h Sept 22 0645h - out checking traps on MC. It's clean, 410°. Another Urocyon was apparently on the grid last night - shit! (also, one of my skeleton specimens hanging ~2m above the ground in front of the cabin was gone this am). The leotoma used as bait in the large trap was missing human. Fortunately, it was mostly the bottom row (rows 5-8) that were affected. Stacked checking RC traps by 0830. Returned to lab to prepare tail clips for RC. Summary of results on MC: P.californicus - 3 capt P.bonfii - 12 " P.tuwi - 3 Perognathus - 2" N.fuscipes - 1 " TOTAL 21 captures
