STEINBERG, E.K. 1988 Hastings Reservation, Monterey Co., Calif June 19 (10:15) MAPS OF TRANSECTS SET TO TRAP BETWEEN DRIFT FENCES + CRJDS: I. Robertson Creek - X: All stations were flagged and marked as follows. (Basically I paced out 2-10 meters from the drift fence towards the grid along the creek, placing two sets of traps on either side of the creek at the first station because D.O.R. told me that a pair of P. californicus nests @ W-1 North (see my to left).) GRID- N(magnetic) - 12 traps total II. Madrone Canyon - All stations flagged, as above. (West) (grid (5,5) stream (dry) = = = = 7,5) GRID- N(magnetic) - 10 traps total III. Madrone Canyon (East) NOTE: Instead of placing traps singly along the creek bed, I tried to flag areas that seemed to be likely spots for P. californicus or along the large dead log set at the creek. small creek bed GASD- grid a,18 - 10 traps total (X) = two traps set
