Took it easy the rest of the am. We took humidity measures between 13-1400hrs and spent the rest of the afternoon working on habitat measurements on WR. Finished around 25 stations, only ~20 left! We set out traps on WR from 18-1900hrs, with 19 Watson traps spread across the grid. Reset RC & MC drift fence traps from 19-2000hrs. Quite the day --- cli bushed. July 27 0600hr - out checking traps on MC. It's clear, calm, low COs. Checked RC drift fence traps then moved on to WR, about 0710k. Saw Felis concolor at station 8,6(0800h) and again at station 4,6(0830h) See appaxct. Wow!!! Finished checking traps by 0900h and returned to lab with 3 new animals to bleed. Ellie weighed captive babies. Summary of results on WR: P. californicus - 9 (3 new) P. huei - 19 (7 new) N. fuscipes - 9 (2 new) P. boylii - 2 (1 new) Peroquather - 4 (2 new) TOTAL 42 captures(15 new) We returned back to WR to finish up habitat measures. Finished by 1230h and then took humidity measures on all 3 grids. I spent the rest of the afternoon entering data on the computer and helping Jennifer & Joe prepare S. berchay's study skins. Ellie reset MC drift fence traps at 1730; both of us reset WR grid traps from 1800-1845h and RC drift fence traps from 1845 to 1900h. Another full day --.
