I set MC & RC drift fence traps from 18-1900hrs. On MC, the thermometer read 92°, and the hygroph [illegible] 110% as high as it records). RC max was 107. I reset each min/max thermometer to record a minimum for tomorrow. Caught a total of 8 squirrels today (3 around lab, 5 around lab). I skinned one (skeleton only) and put the other 7 in the refrigerator to prep tomorrow. July 18 0600h - went out checking traps on MC. Clear, calm, low clouds. Started checking traps on RC by 0645h. Returned to lab to weigh babies. Spent the rest of the morning skinning 7 squirrels trapped around the lab last night. Jennifer Sagan helped me. Suzanne closed all the squirrel traps around 1800h. Didn't catch any this am. Today was another hot one! Ellie got back around 1300h and reset squirrel traps 1500h. We checked humidity readings on all 5 grids. I had planned to work on habitat this afternoon, but it was too damn hot. We worked on computer data entry, instead, in the lab. I had to go into town this evening, so Ellie reset the drift fence traps from 19-2000h. July 19 0600h - went out checking drift fence traps on MC. It's clear, calm, mid 50s. Started checking traps on RC by 0635h. Ellie weighed the babies this am, and we met at 9:00 to begin work on RC habitat. Worked until noon and then took humidity readings on all three grids. Today was a bit cooler than previous days, but still
