I received instructions from Forestry Supplies for the sling psychrometer. The dry bulb reading should be made before slinging the wet bulb for an ambient temperature reading. We have been reading the dry bulb temperature after slinging which must decrease the true dry bulb temperatures. Thus, all previous humidity readings including today are wrong and should not be used. July 16 0625h - set checking traps on McCraft fences. It's clear, calm, low 80's. Started checking RC drift fence traps by 0700h & finished by 0900h. Didn't check maximum temperature on grid 12C. July 17 1130h - upon returning I went and weighed the babies. Today is hot - 100° inside the front porch of the cabin. National 1400h - set out 11 pairs of traps around the lab and old barn to catch S. beecheyi. I'm trapping there to try and keep M. Stromberg from poisoning them. I'm going to try and prepare all of these as full skeleton specimens.
