Jan 8(cont). Set traps on MC drift fences from 1630 to 1700 hrs.
2100hrs - out checking traps on RC. It's partly cloudy, calm,
temp in upper 40s. Finished by 2230hrs and headed home. The
moon is just beginning to rise in the east.
Jan 9 0710hrs - out checking traps on MC drift lines. It's overcast, calm,
temp in 40s. It was clear at 800hrs and the moon was
~ 1/2 full in the west skies. The sun burned the clouds off early
this morning, resulting in a beautiful morning. Finished checking
all traps by 0930hrs and returned to lab with new P.californicus
from grid RC to collect tissues. Summary of Results:

Almost same results as night of 7-8th.
After bleeding # 1152, I spent the rest of the morning and
early afternoon working on data. Today was sunny, clear,
low 60s. I reset MC drift fences from 1500 to 1530 hrs, and
RC traps from 1545 to 1630hrs. I released # 1152 in good
shape while resetting traps.
I'm coming down with a cold, and since there are no P.californicus
on the grid, I'm not going to check traps this PM.
