BIBBLE, D.O 1984 Louise 45 Hastings Reservation, Monterey Co., Calif. moon < 1/2 full April 11 (cont) 2000h - out checking traps on MC. Clear, calm, low 50's. Good results, finished by 2345h and proceeded to check RC traps: Results: 4,6,8 020, 9 60,5g! Pregnant. Dusted ORANGE 4,6,5 1513 PECAP - Orange visible around ears. 4,6,5 1534 PECAP - no powder visible, "should" if 1513 does. Finished by 2345h and headed home. April 12 0945h - out checking traps on MC. Clear, calm, upper 40's. (Good results again. Finished by 0930h and proceeded to check GRID RC traps and drift fences - GRID trap results: 4,6,5 1518 - 24g @ 1m, TWO. ORANGE clearly visible on ears 4, 8 15:26 PECAP No sign of powder. Finished by 0930h and returned to lab to collect tissues from new RC (#1535). Summary of results on MC's P. californicus P. boylii 7 P. huei 3 Pregnant 2 W. pacifica 0 TOTAL 19 12 (new) 13 7 6 (new) 6 1 0 36 (new) 38 Returned #1535 to its capture point in good shape by 1130h. Day was partly cloudy (thin high clouds) and cool. Reset GRID MC traps from 17-1815h, and RC drift fence traps by 1900h. Set 2 traps west of the grid for #1257 who still has a radio-collar. 2200h - out checking traps on MC. Clear, cool, moon is 1/2 full. Good results returned with a new RC. Started checking grid traps on RC by 2315h - nothing captured. Checked CC east drift fence traps for 40340 before returning home around 2345h.
