March 29 (cont) Summary of results on WR - P. californicus - 14 captures (5 new) (mot) 8 traps closed P. truei - 16 " N. fusipes - 8 " P. gonfii - 1 " Perognathus - 4 " 43 captures (5 new) Spent the rest of the morning collecting tissues and preparing the mortality. Today was clear and warm (mid 70's). Reset all WR traps from 1530-1700h. Added one new Norforma trap box (2 traps) and spent some time cleaning poison oak. Set RC drift fence traps by 1740h and MC drift fence traps by 1800h. * [released all new Pc in good shape] 2100h - out checking traps on WR. Clear, calm, upper 40's. Expected more animals, but good results. Finished by 2220h. March 30 0100h - out checking traps on MC. Clear, calm, upper 40's. Started checking RC drift fence traps by 0635h and GRID WR by 0730h. A lot of traps turned by Xestoma - 17 (14%). Finished by 0900h and returned to lab to collect tissues from new Pc (15/19) and prepare forest mortality.
