Summary of results on W.R: P.californicus 12 captures (2new) P.trui 24 " (1new) W.fuscipes 12 " P.baylii 4 " (1new) Peuquathus 3 " TOTAL 55 captures (4new). Shoes cleared quickly this am, and today was sunny. I set McDrift fence traps from 11030 - 1700h, then released R.#1505 on GRID W.R., and reset all RC drift fence traps by 1815h. I also set grid traps at stations 4,13; 5,12; 5,13; to try and catch offspring of 1364. 2200h - out checking traps on R.C. - Clean, cold, no moon - Results P.californicus only: 5,12 - 0130 B mature, scrotal (A) 5,12-1507 F 1mm, nullip, 15.5g. Covered w/ GOLDEN BROWN (mouth, ears, feet):= 1364FF Returned to the lab promptly to collect tissues from 1507 (above) and will release her in the am. March 4 0615h - out checking traps on RC. - It's cold, overcast (new snow coming in). Picked up or opened up all drift fence traps; covered set grid rows. Results on GRID RC traps (P.californicus only): 5,12-1155 B mature, scrotal 5,13 - 1364 F, 39g, lactating (definitely), Dusked Breeds) Released F 1507 this am in good condition. Finished checking all traps by 0815h and spent the rest of the am cleaning up for departure to Berkeley. Left around noon in a light rain drizzle.
