Feb 25 Summary of results on MC - P.californicus - (6 capturs) (Cont) P.boylii - 14 " P.fucci 7 " Pecognathus - 2 " TOTAL 29 captures (poor...) Today was sunny and warm (mid 70s). I reset all MC traps from 1545-1645h and RC drift fence traps by 1730h. Note that I switched all max/min thermometers across grids to see if it has any diff effect (I knew they differed 1°F). 2115h-out checking traps on MC. It's clear, no moon (hasn't risen), low 50s. Checked west drift fence, also. Good results this PM, better than previous days. Finished by 2245h. Feb 26 0645h-out checking traps on MC. It's clear, calm, upper 40s. Picked up or opened up all grid traps as I checked. Finished by 0830 and proceeded to check RC drift fence traps. Finished by 0930h and returned to lab to collect tissues from new Pc (#1442) cought last night. Summary of results on MC-P.californicus 25(M) 26(M) #unk B.(new) 7 11 P.boylii 12 13 17 P.fucci 7 (old) 7 9 N.Pusipes B! 1 2 TOTAL 28(2M) 28 39 capturs Released #1442 at her capture point in good condition around 1100h. Today was sunny and warm, again - from 1430-1630h I set and baited traps on grid WR. Put paper towel wicking in traps located in moist areas. Also reset 16 National traps for Morleya across two grid; used O Kelly shelters, but separated some pairs of traps. Reset RC and MC traps by 1730h. Feb 27 0630h-out checking traps on MC. Clear, calm, low 40s. Started checking traps on RC by 0700h, and grid WR by 0745h. Total of 12 traps (~10%)
