Lombroso, Julio 1989 Journal Hasings Reservation, Monterey Co., Ca. June20 I set the rest of the traps and then avoided going close to the snake on my way back up the fence. I didn't set the 2 traps by the snake. I left RC and went to set the MC fence traps and the 40 extra traps, finishing up around 1900h. June21 I left the cabin to check the MC drift fence traps at about 0630h. I also checked the 40 extra traps I had set but I didn't tap any P. Californicus'. Next I checked the east fence at RC. I didn't see the rattlesnake this morning by station #7. I checked the the other fence and finished around 0850h. I went to the barn. The rattlesnake there was not visible today either. I checked the cages and took the 3 smears. After stopping back at the cabin I went to the lab to look at the 3 slides under the microscope.
