He suggested if the snake was there again to move the trap with a stick and leave the snake alone. I also spoke with Dr. Jim Patton this afternoon to ask him if he knew any reason why all the mice in Cage 5 died. He didn't really know but he said to try seperating the cages more in case there is a virus. Around 30 1530h I went to the lab reexamined the dead mice and looked at the slides of the 3 females smears. At around (3)1400h I finished. At about 1500h I headed to the lab to finish up the freezer samples organization. I saw Patty and stopped to talk with her. She showed me the bug bucket they collect insects in to monitor how many insects are available for the Acorn Woodpeckers. She also showed me the Ensatina she had caught. From about (3)1630h - 1700h I worked on the freezer things. At 1700h I went to the barn to get more cats. At about 1730h I set the RC cast drift fence traps.
