VonBehren, Julie 1989 5 Journal Hastings Reservation, Monterey Co, Calif. June 13 at the RC fences at about 0700h. I checked the East fence first. Next I checked the 20 extra traps I set but I didn't catch any P. californicus . Then I went and checked the west fence, finishing by about 0830h. I went to the barn checked the food and water in the cages again and took the 3 smears from the females. I went to the lab and looked at the slides at about 0930h. From about 1000h - 1100h I spent worked on organizing the freezer samples. From about 1300-1430h I worked on the computer. From 1615h to 1650h I organized freezer samples again. Then from there I went to the barn and picked up some more traps. I went to set the RC drift fence traps After setting the east traps, I set 34 extra traps between the grid and fence. Then I went to set the west fence traps. From here I went back to the cabin area and walked to the MC grid fences. I finished setting them by about 1820h. June 14 at 0610h when I left the cabin the sky was clear and the temp was 53°F. I went to check the MC drift fences first. I finished this task at about 0650h. I drove over to the RC fences.
