June 9 and checked the sheets. We also put the dead
shrew from an RC drift fence trap into
formalin after taking measurements. We then
stopped at the cabin. We went to the
barn to dump the bark from cleaning
cages into the compost and dumped the
compost from the cabin. We drove over to the
WC Grid to check on the hygrothermograph which
was working fine and had enough paper to last
until Monday. We drove to RC grid at about
1100h to open up all the traps, which I had
forgotten to do earlier.
From there we drove back to
the cabin. We left to check on the MCgrid
thermograph and to open up all the traps. Next
we cleaned up the cabin, ate lunch, packed
up, and left Hastings at 1300h.
June 11 I arrived at Hastings at 1700h. At 1715h I left
the cabin to change the thermograph paper at the
WC Grid. At 1735h I went to set the RC Grid
drift fence traps. I also changed the thermograph
there. At 1830h I got more oats from the
cabin and went to set the MC drift fence traps
and to change the thermograph paper. I
finished at about 1915h. Tonight I also made
up a few more data sheets.
June 12 When we left the cabin this morning at 600h, it was
foggy and the temp was 42F. I went
