At 1030h Megan and I cleaned 3 of the cages in the barn. At 1600h we began organizing the samples in the freezers in the lab. From 1700h to about 1720h we set the MC drift fence traps. We stopped at the lab for a bit more of the freezer organization. We were working in at intermittent times so that no vials were out of the freezers for too long. In from about 6 1800h to 1830h we set the RC drift fences and picked up the bat net. On the way back to the cabin we stopped at the barn where we set 40 traps to catch the mouse P. californicus that escaped when we were cleaning cages. We spent another 10 min around 1900h working on the freezers vials again. June 9 At 615h the temp outside the cabin was 44°F and the fog was very thick. Megan and I went first to check the MC drift fences. At about 720h we drove to the RC drift fences and checked them. At about 900h we took the 3qs out of their cages in the barn and took the smears. We also caught the ♂ that escaped in one of the traps we sent in the barn last night. We put him back in his cage. We made sure all the cages had plenty of food and filled some of the water bottles that were getting low. We went to the lab around 1000h
