Puzzle, D.O 1989 Source 101 Hastings Reservation, Monterey Co., Calif July 31 (cont) Summary of results on GRID WR: P. californicus - 11 captures D. tenei - 19 " N. fusipes - 17 " P. boylii - 2 " Perognathus - 7 " TOTAL 56 captures. Returned #1460 Fc to its capture point in good shape by 1000h. Spent the rest of the am picking up all traps and moving them onto grids (both MC & RC). Today was clear, mid 80's. Went into Salinas for dry ice this afternoon and began packing. Reset all GRID WR traps from 18-1900h and select RC grid traps by 1930h - Tonight is my last trapping night of the season - certainly pleased to flunking up, but melancholy about leaving Hastings --- Aug 1 6:00am - out at RC checking traps. Clear, cool (low 40's). Opened up all traps as I checked - total 8 Fc. Started checking WR trap grid by 0700h. Good results for this final trap check. Opened up all non-holding Shermans, picked up all folding Shermans and all Victorias (traps). Finished by 0800h. Summary of results on WR - P. californicus - 14 captures D. tenei - 19 " N. fusipes - 22 " P. boylii - 2 Perognathus - 7 TOTAL 64 captures. Spent the rest of the day cleaning cabin, packing, etc., etc. Left off for Berkeley by 1800h - end of productive era!
