Returned to lab to spin blood - spent rest of am sacrificing
half of lab animals (see catalog).
Today was very pleasant (low 80s) with a nice breeze. Spent the
afternoon cleaning cages. Patrick Kelly arrived down today, with
sooji, and needs more of his Mottara traps. Reset 4z10 WR
traps from 1730-1830h and brought back 5 boxes (10 traps) of
10 cal or 6z10 WR. Set RL drift fences by @ 1950h and MC
drift fences by 1430h.
This PM I had planned on trying to photo some of the remaining
lab animals with fluorescent powders, but I examined them (2230h)
and decided they need more powder. So, I redusted both cages.
Didn't check traps this PM.
Moon < 1/4 full and just rising.
July 29
0545h - out checking traps on MC. Clear, 58%. A lot of mice, including
a torpid Perognathus (new) which I brought back. Started checking
RL off by 0630h. Ridiculous number of captures! Both fences about
50% (I don't think we add traps since only 3 more days). Started
checking WR by 0750h. Good results for morning only clock.
