Rebbs, D.O 1984 Journal 95 Hastings Reservation, Montecito, Calif. July 22 Slept the rest of the an catching up on some sleep... [illegible] After lunch we worked on mapping Bay and Buckley or G710 WR - got about 3/4 finished. From 1530-1645h we set and baked traps at all stations on G710 MC (set early so we could attend a pot-luck supper). Went out later and reset all RLC drift fence traps plus traps around ~ 4,6,5 by 1930h. 22nd - out checking traps on G710 MC. Clean, mid 60's, no moon yet. Good results this pm. Returned by 2315h with a new Pc. July 23 0600h - out checking traps on MC. High scattered clouds, lowlows. Finished checking MC by 0730h and proceeded to check RC [illegible] St. 4,6,5 1768 15.5g ♀ Imm TND. Finished checking trap by 0940h and returned to lab to collect tissues from new Pc (1769) and take vaginal smears. Summary of results on MC - P.Californicus 22(pm) 23(mn) #nd P.boufii 0 10 13 P.tueci 1 0 1 R.nosmather 3(new) 7(new) 7 N.fuscipes 1 0 1 TOTAL 20(2new) 23(1new) 33 total Better results than I had anticipated. Returned#65 to his capture point by 0930h in good condition. Spent the rest of the am finishing habitat measures on G710 WR. - finished !!! Wrap up all measures: Today was warm and clear, just like the past several days... Spent the afternoon working on the computer. Reset all MC traps from 1745-1845h and RLC drift fence traps (and traps around 4,6,5) by 1930h. 91
