Again 68% trap success with 36 Pe. We picked up all traps as we checked them this am. Returned to lab to freeze tails and take vaginal smears Today was warm (upper 80s) and breezy. We spent the afternoon cleaning mouse cages - yippie-shippee. At 16:30h we started setting traps on dispersal transects on GR10 W2. - We set 2 transects in the two arrays that start at the upper (SW) end of the grid - called South (parallel road) and West. Protocol was same as dispersal services previous - 2 traps per station, 20m between stations, each start transect starts 50m (#1) from GRID. The south transect runs 50 stations straight through (station 1-49, 0.5km); The west transect runs 1-23 then splits into two arrays - 2♥-37 and 25B-35B (50 stations total). Vegetation throughout is similar to West Farm Grid, with a bit less shrub cover on the south transect.
