Rubble.DD 1984 Journal 82 Hastings Reservation, Mocking Co., Calif. July 8 (cont) Today was much cooler than yesterday, mid 40s with a good breeze. In the afternoon we returned to GRID RC and worked on more habitat measurements. Reset RC drift fence traps and some grid traps after 1800h, and MC drift fence traps around 1900h. July 9 Opened-out checking traps on MC drift fences. Clean, cooler (low 60s). Started checking traps on C-by 0430h. Opened up all folding Sherman set on GRID. GRID results (P.californicus only): 5t 6,14 1582 29g male Sad TND 5,14 0400 39g male Scrotal Blue-green visible in ears. 4,14 030 44g female M Perf. par 5,13 0016 39.5g male scrotal White tail tip. This am we finished habitat measurements on GRID RC. This afternoon we finished a habitat measure on GRID WZ for 14-1730h -- finished ~50%. Today was sunny, upper 80s. We reset 72C drift fence traps 18-1830, and MC drift fence traps and ~10 grid stations (survey RPs) by 1940h. July 10 Opened-out checking traps on MC. Clean, low 60s.
