Returned just before midnight - no bats. Closed up nets. June 7 0900h - out checking traps on MC. Foggy, low 50's. Picked up and/or opened up all traps as we checked traps. Finished around 0800h and proceeded to check PC drift fences. Returned to lab by 0120h and Julie took original swarms and I packed up. - took off around 1100h. See Julie's notes during my absence. Summary of results on MC: P. californicus : 13 captures P. bonfius : 10 " (new) P. tuwi : 4 " Peromyscus : 2 " N. fuscipes : 4 " TOTAL 33 Captures (new) June 20 Arrived back at Hastings this afternoon around 1800h - after a fantastic 2 weeks in Alaska. Skies clear and hot (upper 90's). Julie set traps on MC drift fences while I unpacked, then we both set and baited all traps on GRID PC. Forgot to bring any Nebraska traps over, so didn't set any on GRID. Finished setting all traps by 2000h. 2215h - out checking traps on PC. Clear, mid 70's, no moon yet. Not many captures this early in PM. Finished slowly after 2300h. June 21 0600h - out checking traps on MC. Clear, cool, low 70's. Moon (~3/4 full) visible at ~ 2 a'clock. Started checking traps on Grid PC by 0630h. (Good number of captures thus an. Finished by 0915h and returned to lab to bleed new be, etc.
