Today was sunny, low 80's. We lost all GRID WR traps from 1730-1815h, and RC? MC drift fence traps [illegible] by 1900h. On RC west drift fence, 5+W-3(in) caught an albino-colored S. beechayi. Apparently the trap was left open, or perhaps it pushed its way in. She is white all over, black eyes, with the typical dabling (spots) present on back (all different shades of white). Transferred her to a National trap and will prepare her as a specimen mañana (see catalog) Fog rolled in around sunset, cooling things down. 2215h- out checking traps on WR. Foggy, low 60's. Much better results this PM - finished by 2315h and returned home. June 4 0600h- out checking traps on MC. Overcast (fog), low 60's. Started checking traps on RC off's by 0645h. Started checking traps on WR by 0800h. Not of mice this AM, including N. nebraskae again. Finished by 1000h and returned to lab to take vaginal smears from females. Remained overcast all morning.
