Rizzolo, D.O. 1989 Journal 57 Hosting Reservation, Monterey Co., Calif May 11 Stays overcast and cold all morning - Sun finally came out (Coit) in the afternoon and a good breeze dried everything out. Reset all MC traps from 10-1800h and set & baited RC drift fence traps by 1845h. 2200h - out checking traps on MC. Overcast, low 50's. Not much activity tonight - finished by 2300h May 12 0620h - out checking traps on MC. Low clouds, low 50's. Better results this AM. Started closing RC drift fence traps by 0800h. Most of the traps on the west fence were closed at no animal - probably drawn S-beechyi. Returned to lab around 0930h to fill new Pc (#1572) and take tag smears. Reset all MC traps from 1630-1800h, and RC drift fence traps by 1830h. Set 2 National traps along the west fence to catch the S-beechyi closing traps. 2200h - out checking traps on MC. Low clouds overhead, low 50's. Same results as last night. Finished by 2310h. Skies have begun to clear, with moon (1/2 full) high in western sky. May 13 0620h - out checking traps on MC. Low clouds, low 50's - cold! Finished by 0800h and proceeded to check RC drift fence traps. Caught a # S-beechyi on the west drift fence. Planned on killing it in Metlab, unfortunately it escaped in the process
