Once again, failed to catch # 1079♀. Did get here signal from the same place as yesterday, st 5,13 in a road, hollow, standing bay tree 3m south of the station. N 158 0120 Perognathus 19 ♀ SAD, nullip. Finished checking traps by 0900. The fog has lifted and skies are mostly overcast. Great results on Transsect XIII this AM. It stayed mostly overcast today, with the high only in the mid 70s. From 1545 to 1700 hrs I set traps on RC-1 with peanut butter & oats - hoping that the peanut butter will lure # 1079 into a trap. Set traps from 7,17 to 5,12; plus a concentration of traps around 5,13. Reset RC-1 drift lines as usual. Reset traps on Transsect XIII & MC-1 drift fences from 1700 to 1800hrs 2330hrs - finally caught # 1079♀ at st. 6,14 in good shape ~ 43g. Perorate. Left the remaining traps to check in the AM. With Peanut Butter all animals should be fine. Also set 6,10 & 6,11 for # 835. The skies are clear tonight.
