Set out an additional 6 National traps at various places for N. fuscipes. Mistakenly left traps open at 4,10 and caught #10B4. Released him in good shape. Finished resetting Transect III by 1840hrs. July 22 0210hrs - out checking traps on RC-1. It's clear, calm, wind (to 50's). NO moon yet - Finished checking traps on RC-1 at 0400. TRANSECT III RESULTS 282 - N. fuscipes 284 - " 286 010 Perognathus ♥, sub, TND, 21g 287 - N. fuscipes 291 1921 P. californicus ZECAP 292 1922 " 28 N 294 1925 " " ♥, sub, TND, 28g. White-tail flip 295 010 P. boylii ZECAP 296 020 " " 298 - N. fuscipes N 297 04D P. boylii ♥, mature, scrotal, 26g. 299 - N. fuscipes 300 03D P. boylii ZECAP Finished checking Transect at 0435hrs. It feels cooler than when I started. While I was checking traps the Camel Sheriff stopped and convinced me he wasn't poaching. I saw a S. bachmani near station 5,13 - this might be closing some traps. Summary of Results from RC-1: P. californicus : 11 captures (0 new) P. boylii : 9 captures (1 new) N. fuscipes : 10 " (2 new) Perognathus : 4 " P. maniculatus : 1 capture S. townbridgei : 3 captures (1 new, 2 dead) Total : 38 Captures. 1200hrs - set 2 gopher live-traps in Pearsonfield by the creek crossings. Am attempting to collect a gopher for B. Rainey. This afternoon was mostly clear, breezy (up to 15mph), and warm (to 80's). Cleaned out even behavioral arena this afternoon and relaxed
