RIBBLE, D.O. 1987 Journal (22) Hastings Natural History Reservation, Monterey Co., Calif. afternoon at July 18 (sat) We closed all traps as we checked them. Spent half the day at Pt. Lobos - - - Reset all traps between 1830 and 1930 hrs. Today was clear, calm, low 80's 2235 hrs - out checking traps on RC-1. It's clear, no moon, calm, mid 70's Finished checking RC-1 at 2330 hrs. July 19 0620 hrs - on RC-1 checking traps. It's clear, calm, cool (low 50's) - Moon = 44% full TRANSACT R-2 RESULTS: N 300 - Neotoma - 299 0100 T. boylii 2lg female mature, parous, imp 298 020 Perognathus 25 pr. male mature TND 287 285 - Neotoma - - N 286 030 Perognathus 29 pr. 8 mature TND 282 010 Trap mortality [Cat no. 773] 322 - Neotoma - 324 - "" 326 - " 325 040 T. boylii N 328 0110 " 19g female sad, imp, unlli N 327 0120 " 24 female mature, imp parous 332 - Neotoma - 337 - " - 339 - "" - Finished checking all traps by 0830 hrs. Summary of Results on RC-1: P. californicus : 9 captures (2 new) P. boylii : 5 captures N. ruscipes : 5 captures R. megabotis : 2 captures (2 new) Perognathus : 2 "" P. maniculatus : 1 capture S. townsendii : 1 capture (mortality) Total: 25 captures Today was pleasant (low 60's) with scattered clouds. Spent most of the afternoon preparing specimens. Reset all traps from 1900 to 1945 hrs. Marco flushed 4 Sus scrofa at the Rab water north of transect RC-2
