Scrotal Results on GRID RC: 6,14 1079 P.californicus 47.5g & M. post-lactating. Nullipara. maybe pregnant. Dusted NEW RED 5,14 1137 P.californicus RECAP. Eye line. On grid MC, caught #1943 at 9,10 and she was definitely lactating. Dusted her with NEW RED and she escaped into hole about 9,10. I picked up all traps on MC as I checked, so I didn't finish checking all traps until almost 1100hrs. I returned to lab to bleed the following animals: #1140 (new animal from east of RC), #1941 & from MC which I tagged the left ear #1141, need blood for protection project - 2nd sample ), and #1100 (scrotal &? from MC that I can't find record for in spx acct. (?) ) . Returned to Summary of capture results on MC: P.californicus: 8 captures P.bouylai : 5 captures (new) P.tzuei : 4 captures (2 new) N.fuscipes : 1 capture TOTAL: 18 captures Note that on the west RC drift fence 11 animals were captured which is 11/4 % traps success. This is way over 50% and extra traps should be added to this fence if this trend continues. Looked at #1941 in the dark and he [illegible] appeared to be fresh powder around his mouth and on limbs. Returned all animals bled to their capture sites before moon. Spent most of the afternoon riding horses with Mark and Shorty at Wayces. Wonderful.
