Almost all brown or a dull. 5,14 645 Microtus 57 & M heat swollen, lactating? 5,14 010 Persimathus 25 & M TND with Finished checking traps by 0915 hrs. I returned P.californicus #1983 in my pocket because he was still very sluggish. I will release him this afternoon. Spent most of the day cleaning the cabin in prep for Turkey Day. Reset traps on RC-1 drift fences, transect east of grid, and some stations on grid from 1530 to 1615 hrs. Released #1983 in good shape. Reset MC drift fences & closed all grid traps from 1630 to 1700 hrs. A thin layer of clouds moved in this afternoon, cooling the temp into low 70s. By 1730 hrs low clouds moved in from the north & the west. 2120 hrs - out checking traps on RC-1. It's partly cloudy & breezy. Results on Transect east of RC: st. # Spp Wt Sex End 321 0230 Peromyscus 21.5 & M pup, paned 322 0100 Microtus RECAP 325 0440 P.boglyi RECAP 327 0420 " & " 330 0330 Microtus RECAP 1 km. GRID RESULTS. 5,14 03430 P.boglyi 30g & M lactating? 6,14 0310 P.maniculatus RECAP 5,15 1079 P.californicus 30g & M rats swollen (no milk), Dusted TBP. probably pregnant. Escaped to west Finished by 2200 hrs and headed home. Nov 25 0700 hrs - out checking traps. It's clear, calm, and cool (mid 40s).
