They came out this AM, but by 1000 hrs it was cloudy-overcast, again. It rained hard from 1100 hrs to 1300 hrs. The manual class arrived around 1400hrs. From 1500 to 1600 hrs, M. Salvioni and I used traps on MC-1. We also set out a large Havahart and smaller Havahart to try and catch whatever is turning traps. We reset traps on RC-1 drift lines around 1130hrs. We also put out 4 mole traps (shower-type) at stations W-3 (#2), W-9, and E-7 inside. It has gone. We released #1474 and he climbed ~3m up a Madrone and fell to the ground. He then scurried along the fence toward the creek, but I made him turn around. It was obvious he wanted back across. Finally (after 5 min) he went into a trap at E-9 and we let him to the outside. It sprinkled on and off into the evening. 2200hrs - out checking traps on MC-1 with Marco & B. Peyton. Brief, cool and overcast. Radio-collared #143 at station 9/12 - Check 3 checked all traps including drift lines Finished checking traps at 2330hrs. Took #1476 back to lab and closed her. Will leave her in cage overnight.
