We ran down with a strong Westerly breeze, and at night were to off the mouth of San Francisco Bay. 15th (by San Francisco reckoning) We ran into San Francisco Bay, and anchored off the city at two o clock in the morning. We found the "Cadet" lying here, having arrived four days before us, from the Aleutian Is, Sitka, etc. The Hancock arrived several days after us.
