28 Rockies easily three days since we ate not yet anti-fried against sky plane - food rations at I - the evening I put my my mag- netic tent near The house site - this is the second time I have used it, once before having had it at Barge Rocks when we were aground. Thursday Aug. 28-1913 Clear and cool again with the best of weather for this work. We are getting pretty well rested out especially the equinox. Friday August 29, 1913. Work continued and completed today. Our dinner has been taken to the beach alone which are the seven tenths of Ethos: It is there near the little stream that we will build our house. Saturday Aug. 30-1913. Spent the day getting our last few personal efforts together and preparing to leave the ship. Our letters were all ready and packed last night. Sprigg will mail these upon the arrival of the ship at St. John's. About 8 o'clock Sprigg opened up some champagnes and we had a drink around.
