Crossing Newfoundland until about 9:30 A.M. when we rounded into St. John's harbor & at 1:00 dropped anchor off Job Bros' wharf. Last night we ran at half speed until daylight. Mr. & I went ashore, telephoned Mrs. Job & afterwards met the two brothers in their office. They demanded that the 24 months hire be paid for the Diana & That we pay $4,250.00 per month for The Irish.
