Saturday March 6, 1915 Snow. SW wind, overcast -15. Yesterday there was a strong SW wind which brought the snow down in clouds. A hot air to M. Abby and Lucas Piquet came in from the south. Mac sent for some supplies and will stay down next week or until Tom and Peter show up. The crowd have not yet killed enough meat to keep the dogs in shape. Tot brought in two more rabbits today. Lucas Piquet brought in a pair from the plateau back of the house. Day before yesterday Oddie killed 4 ptarmigan - I arrived enough to cook dinner today. I received considerable praise, which I am inclined to put down as a hint for me to take that watched job more often. Thursday March 11, 1915 Clear with high NE wind -41 degrees. Yesterday we celebrated Elsie's birthday x She was 33 years old. We had a good dinner & concert, and turned a large number of candles on the table. Fortunately we are still spared the misery of the frost. Yesterday morning Octo left with his family for Tetuanik. Abby Schipuel moved into his room where she will have more room x New Piquet also went south. Time is slipping by and we are very contented.
