244 Sunday January 10th, 1918 S W wind with snow - - 15. Jerome and I worked on some Algebra after breakfast and then went to E Tah. We found Jo T and Co - Blayde back. With them had come Sipsu + Namourne from Patrawile, and Seeman + [illegible] from Kanga Lookook. Hay- + his son were also there. A note from Mae told us that the party had started for Niamirish and would reach E Tah in the first weeks of February. Mae has killed a bear - in-cidentally his plans for going south via Pond's Inlet are developing. He and Co Tach are very anxious to get to New York - I doubt whether they ever succeed. We had the two missionaries with us at dinner, a good dinner it was too. The itching rash is at last getting away on my clothes. Monday January 11, 1918. Cloudy with snow + Sul brigs - - 17. I can't seem to break myself of writing '1914'. Before I came out to the Island I fixed up a box for Sipsu to take down to his children. If the ship had only come I should have more to give him. Sipsu visited me for about four hours this afternoon. I took him and Namourne around to see the snow igloos. They seemed to enjoy my peatkin architecture. Sipsu gave me some good hints on building.
